The following flushing scope was successfully completed during the narrow turbine shutdown window:

  • Oil polishing
  • Draining of the lubrication system
  • Tank cleaning
  • Lubrication system flushing
  • First fills and system reinstatement

Each flushing setup was individually evaluated to achieve the most effective outcome, taking into account optimal flow rates (turbulent flow), flushing duration, and required fluid cleanliness levels. All processes were supported by detailed engineering documentation.

SCOPE EXECTION

  • One-day site visits to ensure jumper hoses and connections are predefined prior to mobilisation
  • Supply of required jumper hoses and connection fittings
  • Mobilisation of equipment and personnel to site
  • Draining of the lubrication system
  • Inspection and cleaning of the oil tanks
  • Flushing of the turbine, compressor, cooler lube system, and hoses to cleanliness levels that meet or exceed client and OEM specifications (ISO 16/14/12)
  • Pneumatic cleaning of smaller tubes, including lube oil fill and cooler vent lines
  • Oil polishing
  • System reinstatement and first fills

KEY EQUIPMENT

  • 1070L/min flushing rig and genset
  • Site boxes with all the appropriate tooling to complete the scope
  • Oil heater, coolers and backflushing equipment
  • Particle counters and patch testing kits
