Update: IT Security IT Incident
In October, Aussie Fluid Power (AFP) became aware of an IT security incident involving unauthorised access by a third party to a limited number of our IT systems.
AFP immediately began working with independent cybersecurity specialists to conduct a thorough analysis into the incident and began notifying stakeholders, in order to provide preliminary advice on mitigation advice.
During the investigation we were disappointed to discover that some personal data was present on the files downloaded from our servers and recognise the concern this may have caused.
All identified personal data breaches have now been fully addressed and relevant mitigation advice provided via separate communication directly to those involved.
All relevant customer and supplier contractual and regulatory obligations have also now been met.
Since the incident, we have implemented a series of measures to strengthen the security of our network and reduce the likelihood of a similar event occurring.
These measures include:
- Enhanced monitoring and threat-detection controls
- Strengthening of access management and authentication protocols
- Network segmentation and infrastructure hardening
- Additional employee training on cyber risk and security practices
- Independent validation of our security improvements
We sincerely regret any concern or inconvenience caused by this incident. Protecting our stakeholder’s information remains one of our highest priorities, and we will continue investing in technology, processes, and expertise to keep their data safe.
