AFP completes hydraulic works for Rio’s Pilbara expansion operations

With a strong background in hydraulic systems, AFP was engaged to provide a full turnkey solution for lubrication and hydraulic pipework as part of the Yandi Sustaining Project. The project is focussed on upgrading the existing Rio Tinto Yandicoogina Mine located in the Central Pilbara region of Western Australia.

AFP’s scope of works consist of supply, installation and hydrostatic testing of lubrication and hydraulic pipework, fittings and supports between various equipment; including 4x apron feeders, 7x conveyors, 4x isolation gates and 2x conveyor brakes hydraulics.

Each of the 16 project stages were successfully completed ahead of schedule and in accordance with the client’s lubrication system, mechanical works, structural steel and hydraulic equipment requirements.
